Fresh air fund in need of host families for summer 2009

Are you looking for something productive to do with your summer? How about pouring yourself into the life of a child for a few weeks this summer? The Fresh Air Fund has been serving the New York community since 1877 by giving inner-city children, ages six to 18, the chance to make memories and experience the joy of a summer vacation by bringing them into the home of a warm and loving host family. The children often are from low-income families that can not afford to send their children on a summer vacation. Find out how you can make a difference in the life of a child here.

Wow that sounds like a great idea. Growing up in the country is a huge blessing (in my humble opinion).
I saw your post on MFW group. I just signed up with them as I am thinking of using it for our homeschooling next year.
Good to "meet" another homeschool momma. :)
